Multi-company access control

About multi-company access management

What is a multi-company structure? Multi-company structures exist when several entities (companies) are located in the same building but belong to different organizations. For example:

  • A building hosting several companies
  • A building hosting one or more companies and private housing
  • A building hosting one or more companies, private housing and one or more tertiary organizations (shops, service providers, etc.)

Multi-company access control has the same function as traditional access control, i.e. to regulate site access to users according to their authorizations, and has the specificity of distinguishing authorization levels according to the different poles making up the site.

How does multi-company access management work?

The major advantage of multi-company access control is the ability to tailor access restrictions to individual users while maintaining a single management software. Multi-company access control allows management via :

  • Through a single access iPassan Manager
  • With a space dedicated to each company or entity
  • The inclusion of shared common spaces

Access management on the dedicated iPassan Manager software is simplified, allowing the creation of a network dedicated to each company, without the need for prior programming.
iPassan Manager is designed to assign multiple companies or entities to the site where the plant is located. The parameters of each entity are managed by the company itself with access to common spaces.

When can I use multi-company access management?

Multi-company access control consists of regulating access for all users on the same site, with different levels of authorization depending on the places they visit:

  • A building hosting several companies
  • Each employee has access to his company and to the common premises
  • A building hosting one or more companies and private housing
  • Each employee has access to his company and to the common premises
  • Each resident has access to their own unit or floor and to the common areas
  • A building hosting one or more companies, private housing and one or more tertiary organizations (shops, service providers, etc.)
  • Each employee has access to his company or business and to the common premises
  • Each resident has access to their own unit or floor and to the common areas
