Discovery of the product life cycle for new FDI employees
The immersion day offers a complete view of the FDI product life cycle, enabling you to discover the :

Presentation of 4.0 production site to new FDI employees
New employees also have the opportunity to discover FDI’s 4.0 production tools. During their immersion at the production site, friendly employees discover :
- Mycronic’s latest-generation SMC (Surface-Mounted Component) lines,
- DEK screen printing machines,
- ERSA 13-zone melting furnaces,
- The X3 laser marking machine,

The presentation of FDI’s industrial resources provides a concrete and improved understanding of all the trades and technologies used at FDI, from support services to production and dispatch.
Active participation of new employees in the manufacture of FDI electronic boards
During their integration, new FDI employees play an active role in the manufacture of electronic boards and hardware for FDI access control, intercom and IoT systems. For example, collaborators are invited to :
- Assemble components on PCB (Printed Circuit Board),
- Test electronic boards to ensure correct operation,
- Assemble access management, intercom or IoT systems,
- Pack finished products,
- Prepare and dispatch orders.
This hands-on approach enables new recruits to discover FDI’s library of professions, products and expertise on a larger scale.
Introduction to FDI premises and rituals for new employees
New FDI employees have the opportunity to quickly familiarize themselves with their work environment and colleagues.
During the immersion day, FDI organizes a detailed tour of the premises, enabling new arrivals to discover the modern, bright premises of its Cholet site. This visit is also an opportunity to unveil FDI’s friendly and user-friendly equipment, such as :
- Relaxation areas,
- The FDI gym,
- Large outdoor areas (terrace, petanque court, etc.),
- The company restaurant with FDI’s head chef.
This visit enables new employees to familiarize themselves fully with their new working environment, fostering a global understanding of FDI values and rituals.
Presentation of all departments, their missions, objectives and teams
As soon as they arrive, new employees are welcomed to FDI in small groups, facilitating their integration. During this day, the heads of each department present their teams, missions and objectives to new arrivals.
New employees have the opportunity to talk with production managers, from design to dispatch, as well as with support service managers.
The FDI team also takes the opportunity to take the photos for the trombinoscope, so that everyone can associate faces and names.
