Smart, simple and state-of-the-art iPassan is an IP access control system specially designed for medium to large-scale residential and tertiary buildings.
iPassan controllers store all the information required and boast embedded intelligence enabling local decision-taking.

IP access control for up to 4 doors
iPassan access control LPU can control up to four doors but its capacity can be increased to 6 doors using a 3/4/5/6-door option card.
iPassan controllers can be connected together via the TCP/IP network or via the RS485 bus. They also have an ancillary RS485 bus to connect input and output modules. When the controllers are only used for 4 doors, they can also host input and output options instead of a 5/6 door option.
Manage your PoE controller with iPassan Manager
To manage your entire system and secure your buildings, iPassan Manager software is available in Cloud version or local version. iPassan Manager is powerful, intuitive software. It only takes eight steps for the wizard to complete initial setup. Once set up, you can also use this IP access control software to real-time view the status of the controllers, to remotely open doors and to see events as they take place as well as manage lifts.
A secure access control LPU
The PoE 4-door iPassan base controller is a FDI-designed advanced, scalable access control controller. This PoE controller manages up to four 2-SMART proximity readers. As these are based on our own protocol, they offer exclusive features and security. Decisions are taken locally as our iPassan controller is smart and stores all the information required.

Power supply
The PoE 4-door iPassan base controller LPU operates with a PoE (Power over the Ethernet) switch or a 24/48VDC power supply.
Connectivity
The connectors on the top of the iPassan controller provide an easy, affordable extension and extra advantage for:
- 12 input/output card or programmable outputs in iPassan Manager software. When it is complemented by the 2-door extension card, it can reach a total capacity of 6 doors per controller.
- The 4-door base controller address is configured by entering the device number in the software.
Communication
An Ethernet port for connecting to the PoE switch.
Two RS-485 communication ports can also be used: one for communicating with other controllers (main) when they are not connected to the local network and one hosting Input/Output extensions (auxiliary).
A USB port for communicating with a server or computer.
Updating firmware
The 4-door iPassan base controller firmware can be updated using iPassan Manager software.
